Hey, music maker, do you shape your sound like a landscape? Do you often wander unknown sonic territories with no goal but discovering new paths?

Soundscapers is a Last FM group dedicated to ambient/drone/noise makers. While our music is generally beatless, voiceless, electronic and quite minimal, this is not always the case. We're focused on music for the mind and for the soul. Soundscapes that tell stories, may they be dark or bright, relaxing or depressing, intimate or alien.

We're trying to build a quality tag radio gathering all of our members' works, and to share advices, resources and techniques. The Last FM group is reserved to music makers (it's meant to connect them). But here at europeaftertherain.com, beyond Last FM boundaries, everyone is invited to join.

The current Soundscapers' page is meant to evolve, probably into a stand-alone website dedicated to independent and experimental music. Something between a netlabel, a music agreggator and a social network.

Please register if you want get involved with our small (yet growing) community. You'll be able to comment blog entries, post in the forums, keep in touch with other artists and listeners, and help us shape something new.

Our Last FM tag radio (dedicated to all streamble tracks our members have released on Last FM) still require more content to work properly. For now, you can listen to our group radio, which gathers artists our members listen to (including themselves):

Also, don't hesitate to grab our podcast, there are plenty of free tracks we've made available for your listening pleasure. Please note that a few tracks that weren't made by our members may have been tagged as "soundscapers" - the Last FM tag system is community-driven by nature and cannot be controlled at an individual scale.
